Waygo - Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Translator app good for

I have been using WAYGO alongside other apps that do similar translations and have found that WAYGO is the one to use whenever we are at a restaurant staring at a menu blankly. The translations are less literal and make ordering much less scary. Hint: If you have multiple iOS devices to install this app on after purchasing the upgrade, you will want to go into settings and "upgrade" on each of your other devices. You will then see a RESTORE feature in the top right. Tap it and as long as you have in app purchases enabled it will upgrade the new device.
Game changer. Literally allowing us to eat -- couldnt read menus before.
Super slick new UI. Love the addition of features when you pause the translation. A+ update. Keep up the good work.
The application really helps us in the various places we visit in China. We now understands the written signs. We wish to have the application expanded to other languages around the world.
This app worked great in China! Did well at getting the main point across, and all the locals were amazed and would hover and watch while the app did its thing. I didnt give it 5 stars because sometimes the translations added in weird words, doesnt do well when the words are written close to each other (vertically), and it doesnt do well at reading some stylized characters.
Just what this non-Chinese speaker needs as I make my way in my new home in Shanghai. I recommend upgrading because its almost addictive translating characters to understand the environment. Its also a useful tool for language acquisition!

Some bad moments

We hoped to get some useful results from the app during our trip in Japan. So far it has proven to be quite useless, it has obvious problems translating and if it does manage to translate it provides varying results. A waste of money!
Identifies less than 5% of the words. We got farther by simply learning the words for different kinds of meat, because this app is not even capable of recognizing "beef" on a consistent basis.
This app doesnt work in any of the different modes: single line, multi line, or capture. I tried all modes with 10 different recipes captured and translated from Japanese to English. None of them worked and the translations were so far off, I thought this app was a joke and deleted it.
Gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it is such a great idea. Tried to translate a fire extinguisher sign in a Japanese apartment and got "love struck" as a translation. I know this Kanji and the translation is not accurate. I tried to use different camera angles to improve the translation...but quickly ran out of free translations. I would gladly pay double the asking price, if it worked -- but, sadly, I cannot use this app. The translations are horrible.
Not able to translate a word correctly and when in doubt reverted back to guessing menu & food items even when the text has nothing to do with it. Cannot believe the publicity when the product us non-existant. Very disappointed at my wasted time trying to hold the camera steady so many times w/o results.
The app crashed whenever you try to translate Japanese vertically, therefore making the app totally useless to me
